Local 12 Celebrates 80th Anniversary
The International Union of Operating Engineers, Local Union No. 12 was consummated by an executive order of the General President of the International Union of Operating Engineers and approved by the General Executive Board on March 1, 1939.
Throughout the past 80 years, the Officers of Local 12 have worked hard to see that the members receive a fair wage, overtime, paid holidays, subsistence pay, health and welfare, burial fund, vacation, pension and now annuity benefits.
The hard work and superior skills of Local 12 members are what define our great union. We should be proud of the progress that Local 12 has made & with our members continued effort and support both structurally & politically, we will continue to be a fundamental stronghold for Organized Labor in Southern California and Nevada.
