It is with a humble beginning, that we welcome you to a website that is dedicated for the use by all members of Boston Plumbers and Gasfitters Local No. 12.

We as a group of Union Local 12 craftsmen are joined together through our common skills as craftsmen. The use of conferences, e-mail, and web pages will further strengthen that bond. One of the purposes of this site is to link members together by utilizing the power of the Internet, by using the media of the twenty-first century.

This page is for the use by all members of Plumbers & Gasfitters Local No. 12. By providing information, resources, links, on any issue related to the plumbing industry. In addition, we hope to educate members on the principles of a true democratic labor union. An educated member is an empowered member an empowered membership will move this local into the twenty-first century.

Additional purposes of this site, is to provide a platform that will encourage honest debate, discussion and education. This can only help any member or group of members seeking political office, by utilizing these pages to convey their message. Responsible internal constructive criticism can and will strengthen our local by keeping open, the possibility of replacing inadequate policies and/or officers. This site will address and correct all misleading information, gossip, political spin, against any messengers of dissent.

Today’s Local 12 craftsmen are just getting into using the Internet to build upon their basic skills. With this modern network, we have the ability to easily communicate and exchange information and ideas, to learn and assist each other, for the benefit of all. This web site will be developing the future communication that can only strengthen our local.

At no time will any members e-mail address be revealed or any members identity be compromised. To do so, would only defeat the purpose of our endeavor, making all of this effort a great waste of time.

The website server will act as an administrator for this site “discussion board/gang box talk”. Only members of Local 12 are invited to have input into the “discussion board/gang talk” area. All others are welcome to visit the “discussion board/gang box talk” area for viewing purposes only.

This site does not receive any funding from Local 12’s treasury nor is it being encouraged or endorsed by any full-time salaried officers of Plumbers & Gasfitters Local No. 12.
